It happened just after midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 27 in Patchogue.

The man, a Medford resident, was crossing Medford Avenue, just south of East Roe Boulevard, when a southbound 2012 Nissan Altima struck him at approximately 12 a.m.

He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital to treat serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 50-year-old Patchogue resident, was not injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
